The Vintage Marketplace in Rainbow, CA
As a Chicago gal who lived in a turn-of-the-century coach house, I simply love vintage!
Rainbow, CA June 6, 7, 8 2014 – We flocked from all over the country to meander, buy or sell at The Vintage Marketplace in Rainbow, CA. Every three months Rita Reade of Mammabellarte co-hosts an amazing array of talented artisans and designers from all over the U.S. whose booths are just as gorgeous as their wares. Many are hand-crafted while others are original vintage pieces. The theme in June was Bohemian Beach and the colors of the painted pieces reflected just that. My favorite colors of aqua and sea foam. Home decor, jewelry, clothing. All things vintage! Even my husband enjoyed it as a first-timer. My giddiness wore off on him I think (he knows how much I enjoy painting furniture and repurposing things). I was in my element.
I’ve been attending The Vintage Marketplace for years and can attest to the fact that these one-of-a-kind items make everyone happy. If you’re a member of various women’s groups like I am — where you exchange or provide hostess gifts — here’s where you can stock up for the whole year! I’m always touched when I walk into a friend’s place and see something I bought for her at The Vintage Marketplace displayed lovingly in her beautiful home.
Rita Reade is a soldering teacher and woodworker. She not only co-hosts the dazzling event, but displays her own amazing pieces there. I can hardly wait until September to once again make my way through the ample booths (growing every year and sold out!) to get my vintage”fix” and buy the rest of my holiday girlie gifts.
My photos just do not show the beauty. So, if you love vintage, you must check out their Facebook and like their page to receive updates about the next event:
See you September 5th-7th!!
