Beautiful Collections — Baby Boomers Organize, Inventory and Downsize
My organizing client had hundreds of teapots, teacups and saucers to be inventoried. I feel that specialized task was outside of my scope of work.
So, what was the best way to help my client? Refer the right person for the job.
I met Bonnie Laverty of Laverty Estate Inventory through the Rancho Santa Fe Business and Professional Women’s group. When my client expressed a desire to categorize her large collections, I immediately thought of Bonnie.
The client is very happy. Bonnie did a phenomenal job photographing every item, identifying each one, grouping items, and presenting the final, cohesive report. If anything would every happen to the collectibles (CA earthquake?) all we need to do is hand over that document to the insurance company. We plan on hiring her for future inventory projects.
This as a great way to help clients as I organize their collections. What a valuable service this is — as clients enjoy, downsize, identify, insure, donate, sell or “gift” collections to their children! They have a written record with photos. More Baby Boomers will be needing this service as they downsize. I’m sure Estate Planning Attorneys would benefit by knowing these services exist for their clients.
